Why this exists
Most schools optimize for the kid your child is right now. We optimize for the adult they'll be at twenty-two.
Most coding schools sell coding as the product. We don't anymore. The reason is simple: coding has been commoditized. AI writes code now. What hasn't been commoditized is directing AI, thinking in systems, building something other people use, and standing up to talk about it without flinching. Those are the skills we sell.
We made coding free in 2026 because it was the right thing to do. Coding is a toolkit, not a product, and toolkits should ride along free with the things they enable. What you pay for is what the toolkit makes possible: AI, Math, and Tech, which means directing AI, thinking in systems, and building real things people use. Coding is the ink. Those three are what you write with it.
We built Kidocode because the average classroom does not match the average kid. School treats math as a subject; we treat it as a tool kids use to make a robot follow a line. School treats failure as a grade; we treat it as the first iteration of a thing that will work. Same content, completely different delivery. The kid is fine. The teaching wasn't.

The founder opens a single classroom in Mont Kiara, KL. The hypothesis: most kids who look like they "can't code" simply haven't been taught it the way they actually learn, by building.

Constructivism, codified
Build-first becomes our doctrine: kids ship something every session, lessons land underneath. We start writing what becomes the kidOS curriculum.

Pandemic pivot
Schools close, online lessons begin overnight. We learn what cannot be taught online (camera-on, both-parents trial) and what works better online than in-person.

AI tools enter the curriculum
Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot land in our classrooms before they land in most universities. Master-tier teens start using them daily. AI fluency becomes a primary brand pillar.

Five branches

Most schools at this scale have a founder who's mostly in meetings. Ours isn't. He still runs trials, debugs Arduino circuits with eleven-year-olds, talks parents through the Master tier, and occasionally re-records the kidOS onboarding voice himself. That's not a marketing line, it's a constraint held on purpose. The day the founder stops teaching is the day the doctrine drifts. So he doesn't.
