What is Home Access?
In a rapidly developing world, it's more important than ever for children to have ambitious mindsets and the ability to learn independently. Here at our school, we facilitate this by giving our students access to K-Portal from home. This allows them to work on their assignments and challenge themselves outside of class hours if they desire.
There are many advantages to this system. For one, it gives children the opportunity to learn at their own pace; if they find themselves struggling with a concept, they can take the time to review it in their own time without falling behind in class. Additionally, it allows for more flexible timing; if a child has free time in the evening or on weekends, they can put that time towards furthering their education instead of just occupying themselves with leisure activities.
Of course, there will always be some adjustment required on the part of parents. You will need to help your child set up their device and troubleshoot any issues that may arise. Additionally, you'll need to monitor their activity online and make sure they're not spending too much time glued to a screen! However, we believe that the benefits far outweigh any potential drawbacks - by providing home access to K-Portal, we are setting our students up for success both inside and outside the classroom.
