AI safety for parents
How we balance fundamentals with AI fluency. Kids build with AI; they don't cheat with it.
The honest answer to "is AI safe for kids?"
AI is here whether your kid learns it or not. The question is whether your child grows up using AI to think harder, or to skip thinking. Those are very different futures.
We teach in the first direction.
Our approach
- Fundamentals first. Math, logic, structure, how things actually work - taught hands-on. Kids understand what they're directing before they direct it.
- AI as a creative tool. Kids build AI projects, they don't just chat with one. The framing is "use AI to make something" rather than "use AI to do your homework."
- Critical evaluation. We teach kids to spot when AI is wrong, hallucinating, or oversimplifying. They learn to verify, not just trust.
- Supervised use. AI tooling in our classes is supervised by trainers who use the same tools professionally.
What we don't do
- Encourage AI use as a shortcut for school assignments
- Let kids use AI without understanding the underlying concepts
- Pretend AI is risk-free or perfect
