The real stack, scaled to kid level
By the time a Kidocode student is 12, they're often using Claude Code and Cursor - the same AI-pair-programming tools professional developers ship products with. We don't put kids in a kid-only walled garden; we teach them the actual modern workflow, with a trainer at their elbow making sure the level is right.
Why this matters
The career divide of the next decade will not be "people who can code" vs "people who can't." It will be "people who can pair-program with AI" vs "people who try and fail because they don't understand what the AI is doing." We make sure your kid is in the first group.
What kids actually do
- Write a prompt to scaffold a small app
- Read the generated code, ask the AI to explain what's there
- Make targeted modifications
- Debug when the AI is wrong (it often is)
- Iterate to a working result they understand
- Deploy / run the result
This sounds simple. It's the most important sequence of skills a teenage builder can develop right now. We've structured the curriculum around it.
